Used GIMP to adjust levels (recent discovery, produces significant improvement, particularly when the original exposure was off) and to crop and scale.
I was trying to take a photo of my parents' house, based on the strobist guide to photographing christmas lights. It didn't work, and I think its because I was shooting west just after sunset. This photo is of a house to the east at sunset is more like what I was hoping for. I plan to get up early some morning and get a photo of my parents' house before the sun rises, rather than after it sets. We'll see.
